Obituary of Louis McClary Balcom

Balcom, Louis McClary 71, of Carleton Corner passed away peacefully April 13, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born April 22, 1943, he was the son of the late Burpee and Leona (McClary) Balcom. He is survived by his wife, Helen (Layton) Balcom, children, Patricia Balcom of Connecticut, Robbie (Elisabeth) Balcom of Sweden, Gerry (Leigh-Ann) Balcom of Antigonish, and his grandchildren, Iain Balcom, Keira Balcom and Linnea Balcom, sister Judy ( Ron (Wesman) of Round Hill, niece Jennifer. He was predeceased by niece Melanie and will be reunited with his dog, Morgan. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. Family and friends will hold a private celebration of Louis’s life at a later date. Donations in Louis’s memory may be made to the Bridgetown Volunteer Fire Dept. or the Palliative Care Unit, Annapolis Community Health Center.
