MORRISON, Velda Adelaide, age 89, died peacefully at her home in Cambridge, Nova Scotia, on May 31, 2011. Born in Port Wade, Annapolis County, NS, she was the daughter of the late Edmund H. and Edith M. (Middleton) Bain. She was a resident of Fredericton, New Brunswick for many years, and returned to Nova Scotia upon retirement in 1991, making Cambridge her home. Her employment had been with the New Brunswick civil service, both federally and provincially, holding many responsible positions. She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Carroll B. Morrison, and by their only child, Ardith C. (Morrison) Manson. She was also predeceased by sister, Ruth Amberman, and by brothers, Clyde and Eric. She is survived by niece, Cindy Hall, and nephews, Richard Bain and Tony Bain. By request, there will be no visitation or service at this time. A graveside service will be held June 11, 2011, at 2 pm, at Port Wade Baptist Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Elizabeth Waugh. Donations in memory may be made to Port Wade United Baptist Church or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, NS.
