Obituary of Ronald Hersey Estey Jr.

Estey, Ronald Hersey Jr. – 85, Annapolis Royal formerly of Port Royal, passed away December 6, 2014, in Annapolis Royal Nursing Home, Annapolis Royal. Born in Malboro, Massachusetts, USA, he was a son of the late Ronald Sr. and Eva (Rogers) Estey. Ronald served in US Merchant Marines, after his service with the marines he worked for NASA as a night foreman servicing shuttle engines. Following his retirement from NASA he and his wife Jeanne moved to Port Royal to care for his aunt Vera and helped his wife operate the Shining Tides Bed and Breakfast. Ron enjoyed helping his neighbours with whatever they were working on. He enjoyed working on old machinery in his garage. Ron is survived by his son, Eric and daughter, Susan (Lutz) Mueller, both of USA; grandsons, Nathan Estey, Charles O’Brien; granddaughters, Natalie Green, and Lynn Sagerdahl, all of USA. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Jeanne. Following Ron’s wishes there will be no visitation or flowers. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be held 11:00am, Wednesday December 17, in St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal with Canon Ken Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Church Cemetery, Karsdale.
