My sincerest condolences to Mr. Carlton's family. He was my grade 8 teacher in 2006 and I always admired his positive energy and knack for playing the wooden spoons. Mr. Carlton's passion for teaching made him an inspiration to many of his students. I am so sad to hear of your terrible loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
From a dear student,
Mariah

Please accept my deepest sympathies on Mike's passing. Mike was a frequent visitor to our home as a young man. and was always a great friend to my son, Christopher. We all enjoyed having him around and fondly recall how he could make us laugh with his some of his songs. I am grateful that I got to see him on his way home just a few days before his untimely death.
My deepest sympathies go out to you, his family, and especially to Gabriel and Owen.
A donation to the boys trust fund has been mailed to the Bank of Nova Scotia in Annapolis Royal.

I knew Michael back in his Acadia days when he was part of my nearly inseparable group of friends. Although we lost touch years ago, I fondly remember the many evenings we spent singing and making merry in that special little town of Wolfville. I am happy to see that in recent years he found a job and a community that appreciated his gifts for storytelling and his love of history. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family.

Michael was a kind and generous man whom I loved as a friend. He was humble about his incredible talents but never shy to pitch in using his talents when ever someone needed him. His love for his family was inspirational, to say the least, and my prayers and thoughts are with his two beautiful boys and his mom and brothers. I am heartbroken about the loss of this wonderful person, but he will live on in my memories
