Obituary of Eileen Rice

Rice, Eileen Myrna - 84 of Carlton Corner, Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully May 7, 2011, at home with her family by her side. Born in Hampton, Annapolis Co., she was a daughter of the late Samuel E. and Annie E. (Ward) Dexter. Eileen enjoyed taking care of her family, quilting and was a great cook. She was a member of the Anglican Church, her faith was very important to her. Eileen was always willing to lend a hand when needed. Eileen is survived by her husband, Ernest; daughter, Darlene Jackson, Bridgetown; sons, Brian (Debbie) Rice, Riverview, NB; Daniel (Dorothy) Rice, Three Fathom Harbour, Halifax Co.; Greg (Linda) Rice, Berwick; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Lavonne Magarvey (Arthur), Hampton, NB; Shirley Rafuse, Charlottetown, P.E.I.; Violetta Foster, Chatham, ON; brothers, Harold (Ruth), Granville Ferry; William (Jeanetta) Dexter, St. Croix Cove, Annapolis Co. She was predeceased by sister, Ardeth Young; brothers, Kenneth and Eugene. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7- 9 pm Monday in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 10, 2011, in St. James Anglican Church, Bridgetown, with Rev. Liz Earley officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Bridgetown.
