Taylor, Ernest Armstrong, 87 of Carlton Corner, Annapolis Co., passed away September 29, 2010, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Carlton Corner he was a son of the late John Leander and Myrtle (Norman) Taylor. Ernest worked for the Nova Scotia Power Corp. for many years as a plant operator. He was a founding member of the Bridgetown Credit Union and served 14 years as the Treasurer. During this time he ran the Credit Union from his home. Ernest was a strong advocate for Seniors Rights and he maintained a collection of scrapbooks on local issues. He is survived by his wife of 63 years the former Eunice Blanche Turner; daughters, Sheila (Brian) Taylor, Carlton Corner and their children Robbie and Heather; Irene (Earl) Randall of Bayfield and their children Kathleen, Mark, and Krista; Anna (Rick) Clark of Upper Granville and their children: Emily (Fred) Gardner, Matthew Clarke (Meredith Blunt); great granddaughter, Bronwyn; sister, Hattie (Ed) Balcom; brother, Ralph (Valerie) Taylor of Fredericton. He was predeceased by an infant son, David; grand daughter, Laura Clark; brothers, Owen, Fred, Laurie; sisters, Hazel, Elizabeth and Audrey. There will be no visitation by family request. A Graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Bridgetown with Rev. Liz Earley officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. No flowers by request.
