Walker, John Alden, 84 of Bridgetown, passed away August 14, 2014 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Carleton Corner, he was a son of the late Harry D. and Myrtle V. (Morse) Walker. John was an avid hockey player and a lover of all sports. He was very proud to have been inducted into the Bridgetown Area Sports Hall of Fame on two occasions. He had a great love of the family homestead and working in the woods there. He truly loved and appreciated all of his friends. John was a charter member of the Bridgetown Lions Club. He is survived by son, Peter of Carleton Corner; daughter, Susan (Terry) Bent of Lawrencetown, grandson Johnny of Cambridge; brother, Raymond (Doris) Walker of Carleton Corner. He was predeceased by his wife, Laura; granddaughter, Amanda; daughter-in-law, Jo-Ann; sisters, Vera Whitman and Anita McGill. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. A Celebration of John's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday from the Bridgetown Fire Hall with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating.
