Bruce-Williams, Betty Orenda, 91 of Lequille, Annapolis Co. passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with illness in the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal. Born Hartford, Conn she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Sarah Charles. Betty served in Great Britain during World War II with the Women's land Army and as a member of the Canadian Women's Army Corps transport section, and later with the Red Cross in Canada. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Moschelle. Betty is survived by sisters: Patricia Nicholson of Yarmouth, Barbara Comrie of Florida and Sarita (Gerry) Pecknold of Florida. Besides her parents Betty was predeceased by her husband Frederick, special friend Earl Porter, brothers: Richard and Robert. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the many caregivers and medical personnel who ministered to Betty throughout her many medical challenges. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service , Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday from St. Luke's Anglican, Annapolis Royal with Canon Ken Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family Flowers only.
