Hall, Roy Alfred, 91 of Karsdale, Anna. Co. passed away July 13, 2014 in the DVA Unit at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in London, England he was a son of the late Alfred and Agnes Hall. He immigrated to Canada in 1947, following six years in the R.A.F. during World War II. In 1950, he married Margaret (Wheelock) following which they spent 63 years of happiness together. He was employed in the aircraft industry in Dartmouth and C.F.B. Greenwood for twenty years before transferring to C.F.B. Cornwallis in the transport section from which he retired in 1988. Roy was a life member of Branch #21 Royal Canadian Legion and also a Life member of the Annapolis Royal Lions Club. Roy volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was awarded the Provincial Volunteer of the Year Award as well as the Annapolis County Volunteer of the Year Award. He was President of the Lower Granville Hall. He took much pride in his vegetable garden, flower gardens and mowing his lawn. He dearly loved growing and eating fresh tomatoes. He loved family gathering which he never missed where he would entertain all with his singing and dancing. He enjoyed reading, Tim Horton's coffee and the TV show MASH. Roy was well respected by all who knew him. He is survived by his son, Richard (Diane), daughter, Elaine (Peter) Sarty; grandchildren, Dana (Sandra) Hall, Ronda Lewis, Darren (Nadine) Sarty, and Jillian (Tyson) Langille; great grandchildren, Gary and Zachary Lewis, Julia and Jenna Hall, Daniel Sarty, Nicholas Roy, Abigail Langille; brother, Derek in the United Kingdom. He was predeceased by wife, Margaret, brothers, Peter, Bill and sister, Barbara and grandson, Darren Robin Hall. The Annapolis Royal Lions Club will hold their service Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service and Legion memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday from St. George and St. Andrew United Church, Annapolis Royal with Rev. Elisabeth Bachem officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Bridgetown. The family wish to offer special thanks to Dr. Goodine and the staff at the Veteran's Unit of Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Family flowers only.
