Spicer, Earl Medford, 83, of Middleton passed away July 9, 2014 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Windsor he was a son of the late Geoffrey and Hilda (Dauphnee) Spicer. Earl was a Korean War veteran and a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 34 years. Former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #33 Bridgetown. He was an avid Montreal Canadians fan. He is survived by son, Robert (Lori) of Lawrencetown, Hfx. Co.; daughter, Christine Spicer (Lewis Thorpe) of Berwick; common-law partner, Deborah Hillier; 3 step children, Linda, Gary and Gail; 6 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren; brothers, James of Dowling, ON, Hughie of Namino, BC; sister, Linda (Glen) Fitzgerald of Windsor. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence Shirley; son, Michael; brothers, Donald, Robie and Robert; sister, Shirley . Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. A Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, from Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown with Rev. Gordon Delaney officiating.
