Merritt, Christopher (Chris) Roy Arthur, 65 of Bermuda (Clementsport), passed away suddenly on April 27, 2014. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Paula; devoted daughter, Jodi (Craig) Vaughan); son and best mate, Christopher (Caroline) Merritt; granddaughters, Lara, Lily of Fredericton and Ava of Bermuda, whom he adored. He is also survived by his mother, Jean Merritt; sisters, Sharon, Debi (Keith), Becky; brother, Tony. He was predeceased by his father, Glenn Merritt. Chris was retired from the Canadian Armed Forces and most recently had been the General Manager of Clearwater Systems in Bermuda. His passions in life were being on the water boating with his family, and golfing with his son. Chris loved his granddaughters dearly and looked forward to his visits back to Canada. A Memorial gathering will be held to celebrate his life on Saturday May 10 at 1:30 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion, Clementsport with Rev. Nathan Waterman officiating. Interment will follow in Old St. Edwards Cemetery, Clementsport. Donations in Chris's memory may be sent to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
