Wilson, Arnold (Arnie) Wyman - 87, lifetime resident of Clementsport passed away peacefully, April 19, 2011 at Tideview Terrace, Digby with his niece-in-law, Anne Wilson; her daughter, Peggy Robinson and Rev. Gordon Neish by his side. Born in Clementsport, to his late parents, Frederick and Roxie (Shaw) Wilson. He was a painter for 40 years, 11 of those employed at CFB Cornwallis. He was a member of St. Edward's Anglican Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #122 in Clementsport. He is survived by brother, Chester Wilson of Clementsport; sister, Marion Gates of Lively, Ontario; sister-in-law, Joyce Wilson of Clementsport and several nieces and nephews. Arnie was predeceased by his wife, Violet (Fortier) Wilson; brothers, Charles Wilson, Raymond Wilson, Loran (Douglas) Wilson and George Wilson; half-brother, Elwood Wilson; brother-in-laws Charlie Gates and Michael Fortier; infant sister, Joyce Wilson; sister-in-law, Marie Wilson; nephew and godson, Ronald Wilson; nephews, Terry Brown and Tony Dobson; niece and foster child, Ingrid (Wilson) Awalt. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A service of remembrance will be held Monday, April 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the St. Edward's Anglican Church, Clementsport with Rev. Gordon Neish officiating, Organist, Wayne Isles and Pallbearer, Roland Boudreau. Interment with Legion Tribute "Last Post" in Old St. Edward's Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Clementsport Legion under the direction of the Ladies' Auxiliary. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Arnie's memory to Tideview Terrace, Clementsport Legion and Ladies' Auxiliary, Old St. Edward's Cemetery Fund or Canadian Cancer Society.
