Guest, Alice "Cora", - 71, Upper Clements, passed away on April 14,2014, in the Annapolis Community Health Centre. Cora was the only child born to Eugene and Emma (Everett) Potter, of Upper Clements. During her younger years Cora travelled around the country with her husband who was a member of the Armed Forces. She spent many years as a Cub leader with The Boy Scouts of Canada in Halifax and Cornwallis. She was also a dedicated hockey mom for many years in Ontario and Nova Scotia. Cora worked in schools in Halifax helping children with special needs. When her family grew up, she went into geriatric nursing, twenty of those years at Tideview Terrace, Digby. Cora was an avid gardener and spent most of her off time in her back yard digging and planting. She actually created her own park like setting and received many compliments on the beauty and layout of her gardens. She had many visitors stop and walk through and take pictures. Left with fond and loving memories is her husband and best friend of 53 year, Donald G. Guest, who was her support and strength during her illness. She also leaves behind her sons, Donald E. (Shelly), Pugwash, Perry A. (Penny), Fort Mac Murray; grandchildren, Mindy Anne, Pugwash, Michael, Truro, and Justine, Fort Mac Murray. Cora fought her illness with strength, dignity and grace. A very special thank you to Dr. Robert Barkwell for his wonderful care. Thank you to the staff of the Family Practice and the staff of the community Health Centre for their care, kindness and compassion. Thank you to the VON and their wonderful staff and also a special thanks to Katrina Patterson and Dr. Lori Burgess of the Palliative Care. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. No visitation by request. A funeral service in Cora's memory will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday April 22, 2014, from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Rev. Simone Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Wadeville Cemetery, Granville Center. Donation in Cora's memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association. Dear Don, When tomorrow starts without me Don't think we are far apart For every time you think of me I'm right here in your heart. Love Always, Cora
