Winchester, Winston Churchill - 72, Clementsport, Annapolis Co., passed away April 12, 2014, in the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal, with his loving family by his side. Born in Digby, he was the son of the late Dudley and Alice (Naas) Winchester. Winston was an engineer at the Digby General Hospital; member of the Volunteer Fire Department and Bear River Legion, Branch No. 22. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; always willing to help people; the relaxation of reflexology and therapeutic touch, tea time, painting, feeding the birds, metal detecting and cat, Abi. Winston is survived by his wife, Barbara (LeBlanc); daughters, Sheri (Shawn) Hudson, Deep Brook; Joy (David) Sproul, Litchfield and Lisa (Dwayne) Sarty, Clementsport; grandchildren, Zach Winchester, Brandon Hudson, Justice Winchester, Carter Sproul, Luke Sproul, Jake Sarty and Ellie Sarty; sisters, Rubie "Tootsie" (Ed) Delanty, Sally (Jack) Beckstead, Joyce (Robert) Pennington, all of Ontario; brothers, Roger (Helene) Winchester and Chester (Rosalee) Winchester, both of Digby; brother-in-law, Earl Armstrong; sister-in-law, Alice Winchester. He was predeceased by sisters, Betty Armstrong, Marion 'Hun' Brazier and brother, Duke Winchester. Following Winston's requests there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, April 17, in Deep Brook Baptist Church, Deep Brook, with Pastor Nathan Waterman officiating. Burial at a later date.
