Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Jeannie (Burnside) Macdonald. Once in Canada she settled down to a busy life as a wife and mother, taking pride in her needle work (especially cross-stitch) and knitting for the whole family. A member of the Horticultural Society, her flower gardens, especially her roses and gladiolas, won awards in the local garden shows. The family will always remember her fabulous rolls and cheesecakes.
