Taylor, Edward "Eddie" LeRoy - 82, of Upper Granville, Annapolis County, passed away suddenly at home, February 18, 2014. Born in Mount Rose, he was the son of the late Leverett and Eliza (Sabean) Taylor. Eddie was self-employed contractor for over 33 years. In his early years he worked at Graves then later for J.H. Hicks. Eddie was a great sports fan, his favorite teams were the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. He played many sports, and in 2010, was inducted into the Bridgetown Area Sports Hall of Fame, with his softball team, and recently inducted again with the 1982-83 Hockey team to which he was the Assistant Manager. He was also an associated member with the Bridgetown Legion. Eddie is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 64 years, Margaret LaVaughn (Durling); sons, Donald (Anne), Lawrencetown; Judy (Bob) Spicer, Greenwich; Stella (Brian) Dykens, New Minas; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sister, Hattie Taylor, Bridgetown. He was predeceased by brothers, Ralph, Ernest, Kenneth and one in infancy; sisters, Evelyn, Lizzie, Margaret, Stella and Goldie; granddaughter, Angela. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. Visitation will be held 7-9 pm Friday, with a funeral service held 2 pm Saturday, February, 22, all from Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown, with Rev. Brian Wallace officiating. Burial will be at a later date. No flowers by request. Donations in memory may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of one's choice.
