Messinger, Bert Wentworth, 49, of West Dalhousie, Annapolis Co. passed away suddenly in West Dalhousie on April 16, 2011. Born in Middleton, he was son of the late Charles L. and Freda M. (Gibson) Messinger. Bert was always there to lend a hand. He thought he was the king of all card games, darts, etc. He was a true Toronto Maple Leaf fan. He loved his Saturday night oldies on A.V.R. and spending time in his garage with his Ford Truck and listening to Merle Haggard. He is survived by his wife, Cora; son, Nick (Alanna) Bezanson of Yarmouth; daughter, Samantha (Eric) Messinger of Calgary; grandchildren, Jared, Skyler, Derrick and Logan; brother, Roger (Geri) of Round Hill; sisters, Julia (Leonard) Cottreau of Wedgeport; Sylvia (Chris) Oakley of Williamswood; Holly (Pat) Surette of Fredericton; sister-in-law, Tammy; brothers-in-law, Karl, Jeff, Rusty; father and mother-in-law, Gordie and Ruth Bezanson of Lawrencetown; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and Squeaky. He was predeceased by parents; brothers, Myres and Chuck. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A Celebration of his Life service will be held Thursday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. from the West Dalhousie Community Hall. Donations in his memory may be sent to the I.W.K.
