Orde, Alice Mae - 73, of Digby, passed away February 10, 2014, in Digby General Hospital. Born December 25, 1940, in Victoria Beach, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Alberta Taylor. Alice enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to music, and going for walks when she was able to do so, but she especially loved to listen to the AVR Axemen Hockey. She also enjoyed the company of all the nurses and staff at Tideview. Her family was the most important thing to her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alice is survived by sons, Charles Orde and Michael Orde; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Elsie (Carmon) Stanton, Marjorie (Milton) Hudson, Grace (David) Moschuk, Mildred (David) Ring, Dorothy (David) Hudson; brothers, John Taylor, Lloyd (Sue) Taylor, Stewart (Lorraine) Taylor; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Orde Sr.; sons, Stephen Orde, Anthony Orde; daughter, Deborah Mae. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. There is no visitation by request. A funeral service will be held 11am Friday, February 14, 2014 from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, with Rev. Elizabeth Waugh officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Garden of Peace Cemetery, Victoria Beach. Donations in Alice's memory may be sent to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
