Doucette, Roger William - 61, Hillsburn, Annapolis Co., "Just resting my eyes". It is with deeply sad hearts that we announce the passing of my sweet Roger Doucette, on December 11, 2013 in Annapolis Community Health Centre. From the arms of his loving family home with his Lord. Roger was born on August 1, 1952 to the late Jesse and Primrose (Comeau) Doucette, Marshalltown. Roger dearly loved his Lord and family. He liked muscle cars, car shows, strawberry ice cream, snuggling with baby Dryden and watching Silas play hockey. Roger is survived by his wife of 39 years, Fern (Halliday) Doucette; His daughter, Amanda (Doucette) Fancey, PEI and his son, Sherwin (Teanna) Doucette, Parkers Cove; Grandsons, Silas Fancey (Papa) and Dryden Doucette (Grampie); Special loved ones; Ginger, Corey and Hanna. Survived by Brothers, Alwin, Sherwin, Rodney (Linda) Doucette Digby, Doreen (Les) Barrett, New Minas. Brothers and sisters in law and many nephews, nieces and friends who all blessed his life. Beside his parents, Roger was predeceased by his infant son Dustin Roger, sister, Carolyn Pottie and in laws, Ronald and Jennie Halliday. Dad was a fisherman and truck driver most of his life, always saying he was "born to drive." Dad was a man who gave unconditional love with no questions asked, always ready to lend a hand. Visitation will be held Friday, from 7-9 p.m. in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, in Parker's Cove Baptist Church, with Rev. Jeff George and Rev. Quincy Collins officiating, with reception to follow. Private family burial. No flowers please. Donations preferred to the Margaret Salsman Cancer Care Memorial Fund 5387 Brooklyn Street, Grafton, N.S.
