Veinot, Vernon Aubrey - 73, of Clarence, Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, November 28, 2013. Born in Watford, Lunenburg Co., March 31, 1940, eldest son of the late Joseph "Joe" and Hilda (Bruhm) Veinot. Retired from NSLC, Bridgetown in 1995 to do what he really loved which was to be a gentleman farmer and working from his meat shop at his hobby farm in Clarence. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, the former Jeanette "Jennie" House; daughters, Holly (David) Rafuse, Aylesford; Heather (Darryl Carnell) Veinot, Kentville; son-in-law, Edward Comeau; step-children, Cyril (Marie), Truro; Alma House, Dartmouth; Seth (Gloria), Sussex, NB; Lorne (Gladys), Fredericton, NB; Althea (Yvan Cartier) House, Ottawa; Wayne (Intan), Malaysia; Daniel (Leah), Edson, Alta.; Anita (Eugene MacLean) House, Clarence; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren across Canada and Malaysia; siblings, Mervin (Faye), West Peabody, USA; Lillian (Bernie) Nickerson, Lindsay, ON; Carolyn, Lr. Sackville; David (Veronica), Deerfield; Joan (Sheldon) Bisson, Lr. Sackville; Garnet, Beaconsfield; Brenda (Glen) Crouse, Wilmot. Predeceased by daughter, Joy Comeau; sister Louise in infancy. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, December 2, along with Royal Canadian Legion Service, Branch 33 participating, in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown, with Rev. Joel Hardy officiating. Family flowers only. Private family interment. Donations in Vernon's memory may be sent to Kidney Foundation Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, Victorian Order of Nurses and St. James Anglican Church, Bridgetown or charity of choice.
