Barton, Phyllis Bernice "Bessie" - 79, Lequille, Annapolis County, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 11, 2013, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Digby, she was the daughter of the late Ainsley and Arlene Francis. Phyllis worked in Toronto for 30 years; she was a member of the Acaciaville United Baptist Church. When you had a bad day, Phyllis could always make you smile. She is survived by husband, James, Lequille; son, Blair; grandson, Brandon; granddaughter, Karen; seven great grandchildren, all of Toronto; four step children; sisters, Mary and Eldora, Montreal; Elaine, Toronto; Mildred, Digby; Rozella (Ken) Francis, Lequille; brothers, Ainsley; Nelson (Evangeline) Francis, Digby; aunts, Eva and Laura, Halifax; Hilda, Montreal; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by brother, Walter. Phyllis will be missed by all. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm., Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Acaciaville United Baptist Church, Digby County, with Pastor Theresa Character officiating.
