Clayton, Allan Frederick - Parkers Cove, born September 2, 1955, passed away August 31, 2013 in a boating accident in the Bay of Fundy - Just two days short of his 58th birthday. He was the son of Andreas "Buddy" and Cora (Hannam) Clayton. Allan loved the water that he had fished years ago with his grandfather, Oscar, on scallop draggers, fish draggers and at one time had his own lobster license. He loved taking his family for rides on the Bay in his boats. Allan was a good fisherman and had lots of experience on the water. Allan went to Nova Scotia Community College and received his license as a Construction Electrician. Later he went to the College in Cape Breton and received his Industrial Electricians License. He has worked in the electrical field since 1975, first at Valley Services in Bridgetown, then to Twin Cities Dairy, Hammonds Plains before returning home to Parker's Cove in 1979. On his return he scallop fished for two years before forming his company, "North Shore Electrical", which he operated up to his death. He loved his work and his clients. His son, Allan-Bradley, worked with him and was his right hand man. Allan liked to be busy and he always had some projects in progress. He was always thinking of new things to do. His family was very important to him. He loved them dearly and wanted to make sure that they all had a lot of time together. He loved especially his 15 month old granddaughter, Jessi-Lynn. She was the apple of his eye.
