Edwards, Marion Barbara - 92, Annapolis Royal, passed away peacefully in Annapolis Royal Nursing Home on August 21, 2013. Born in Glace Bay, she and was the youngest child of Charlie and Annie Anderson. Marion married her high school sweetheart Robert "Bob" in 1944, when he returned home from service overseas as a fighter pilot. They had two children, Jim and Lynn. Bob continued as a career Military Officer which took them to postings across Canada and Europe. These were wonderful and exciting years. Marion had a sweet vivacious personality charmed all who met her. She enjoyed entertaining, dinner parties, celebrating life and she celebrated her 40th birthday at the Folies Bergere in Paris. Marion and Bob moved to Annapolis Royal after his Air Force career and they enjoyed their time with great friends and family. Time passed pleasantly with gardening, bridge club, golf, Crawford's cottage and winters in Florida. Marion is survived by son, Jim (Debbie) Edwards, St. Margaret's Bay; grandson, James (Chantal) Edwards and the worlds greatest great-grandson, Henry, St. Margaret's Bay; grandson, Peter (Corinne), Halifax; daughter, Lynn (Larry) Hay, Oakville; granddaughter, Alyson Hay (Jay Shaughnessy), Hamilton; housekeeper, great friend and guardian Angel, Velda Francis, Lequille; many nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by, her husband, Robert; brothers, Andrew "Duke" and Crawford; sister, Flora McDonald and daughter-in-law, Pearl. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A celebration of Marion's life will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, September 10, 2013, in St. George and St. Andrew United Church, Annapolis Royal, with Rev. Elizabeth Bachem officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lequille. Donations in memory may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society, Parkinson Society or Alzheimer's Society.
