Obituary of Whelan Allbright

Allbright, Whelan "Brian", 42 of Freeport, Digby County died suddenly on June 12, 2013 in Mink Cove. He was the son of the late Stanwood and Clara (Thomas) Allbright. Brian was a fisherman all his adult life. He loved to be on the water and loved to fish. He was a volunteer at the Freeport Fire Department for the last couple years. Brian loved his children. He was a proud dad and was proud of his newly born baby boy. Brian loved to be with family and friends, he had a big heart and would try to help anyone in any way he could. He was loved by all who were close to him. Brian is survived by his common-law partner, Stacy Collum, infant son, Brock, daughters, Shakera Lewis and Brianna Allbright; sons, Kody Lewis and Tanner Allbright and step daughter, Arianna Collum. He is also survived by his brothers, Terry Thibodeau, Kingston, Bruce (Tammy) Thibodeau, Lawrencetown, David (Heather Sabean) Thibodeau, Nictaux, Dean (Lesa) Allbright, Central Grove, Kelly Allbright, Freeport; sisters, Jane (Jeffery) Nolan, Halifax, Nancy Thibodeau Halifax, Donna (B.Scott) Rice, Bridgetown, Sally (MacKenzie) Akin, Clarence; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. Visitation will take place 5-9 pm Sunday June 16, with a funeral service being held 2 pm Monday June 17, 2013 both from the Freeport Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Small officiating.
