Smith (Wood), Goldie Nora, 90 of Bridgetown formerly of Moschelle, passed away peacefully April 27, 2013 in Mountain Lea Lodge. Born July 6, 1922 in West Dalhousie she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Nora E. (Ramsay) Gillis. Having lost her mother as an infant her childhood years were spent with maternal grandparents James and Elizabeth Ramsay in Perotte. Goldie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Goldie is survived by daughter Helen (Doug) Germaine of Chilliwack, B.C.; granddaughter Colleen Darres (Bill Souchen), great granddaughter Amanda (Ryan) Peck and great grandson Joel Robbins; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband James Wood and second husband Frank Smith; brothers: Bart, Freeman, Stewart and Harold; sisters: Pearl Grant, Alma Mulvogue and Vera Walker. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday in St. Mark's Anglican Church, Perotte with Canon Ken Vaughan officiating. Interment will be in St. Mark's Anglican Cemetery.
