Fielding, Wilfred "Wilf - 85, of Toronto, Acclaimed TV Producer Sadly, we announce his death one week short of his 86th birthday in Toronto on April 19, 2013. Wilf was born in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia on April 26, 1927. He was a son of the late Harold and Constance Fielding, grandson of the late Catherine Spurr. Wilf was one of the pioneers in Canadian Television and had a long career with the CBC, Granada Television in Britain and CBS Television in the US. He was a Special Events producer covering Olympic Games, World Expos, the British Royal Visits to Canada, Pope John Paul II's visit to Canada, the New Year's Day Rose Bowl Parades in Pasadena, CA and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades (for which he was nominated for an Emmy Award). He is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Anita Gordon, his devoted friend Heather Pollard, his dear cousins Betty and Bud Tillman, nephew Brian Trepanier and many many good friends. Wilf was predeceased by his wife Nora and sister Pauline. Funeral service will be held in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia on Thursday April 25, 2013 at 11:00am.
