Obituary of Joan Hall

Hall, Joan Elva - 74, Bridgetown, Annapolis Co., passed away April 17, 2013, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Carlton, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter of the late Jim and Catherine (Richardson) Nickerson. Joan began her teaching career in the town and county of Yarmouth before coming to Bridgetown where she taught until her retirement. She was a CGIT leader; church organist and choir director; member and past president of Baptist Women's fellowship and Atlantic Baptist Women; member of Valley Voices Barber Shop Choir, Kentville. In her younger years she was a camper and leader at the Y camp, Yarmouth. She is survived by her husband, J. Fred; sister, Ann (Vernon) Munroe, Parker Mtn. Road; Aunt Mae Nickerson, Yarmouth and Uncle Randall (Patricia) Nickerson; nephews, Richard (Lily) Hebb, Christopher (Sharon) Hall and Jay (Stacy) McCurdy; nieces, Marianne (Michael) Stewart, Heather (Glenn) Caldwell, Wendy (Mike) Fleming, Jennifer (Donnie) Chisholm and Beth (Andrew) Cranston. She was predeceased by several aunts and uncles. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Bridgetown. Visitation will be held 7-9pm Saturday, in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Funeral service will be held 3 pm, Sunday, April 21, 2013, in Bridgetown Baptist Church, Bridgetown, with Rev. David Cumby officiating, assisted by Rev. Thelma McLeod.
