Robblee (Hicks), Edith Maude - It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of our beloved mother. Mom passed away peacefully on her 102nd birthday on April 3, 2013. Born in Aylesford, she was a daughter of Samuel Burpee and Ada Blanche (Bowlby) Hicks. She loved music, played the piano and often sang solos in church. She was a wireless telegrapher and she was a Rebekah Lodge Member and a member of the Baptist Womens' Missionary Society of Canada. In 1938 she married our father, Valentine Jacob Robblee, a veteran of the First World War. She is survived by her children, Janet Robblee Crosby, (late Howard), Halifax; Michael Robblee (Tonie), Ottawa; Phillip Robblee (late Carol), Fredericton; grandchildren, Dr. Elizabeth Crosby, Vancouver; Michael Crosby (Alicja), New Jersey; Scott and Chris Robblee, Kevin and Patrick Robblee and great grandchildren. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, where a celebration of her life will be held 2 pm Monday, April 8, 2013.
