I was so sorry to hear of Gary's death. I got to know him while rector of St. James, and his weekly phone calls were so special and kept us in touch even when we couldn't meet. Once he phoned me to tell me there was a wonderful rainbow over the mountain - I've never forgotten that! Nor his love for his garden and for flowers... My sympathy to Connie and to all the family. May he rest in peace.

My sincerest thoughts & prayers to the family & friends of Gary. He was a special person who touched many, many hearts over the years. He will certainly be missed. “May God be with each one of you,” is my prayer. And now, may ... The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. During the seventies I used to enjoy worship and fellowship with Gary every Sunday at the Nazarene Church in Middleton and Port Lorne. After that I moved abroad so it has been a long time since I last saw him. Gary was a good friend and brother - through the years he shared God's Love and kindness with many others. May your hearts be comforted during this sad time.

My memories of Gary date back to 1974 when I came to Port Lorne and Hampton as pastor. I remember his visits to the parsonage and from that time forward, whenever and wherever I met Gary, I received a kind and friendly greeting. I was surprised and shocked to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers for peace are with you at this time. Rev. Elizabeth Legassie
