Fairn Marilyn Marie - February 8, 1944 - April 4, 2013, 69 of Moschelle, Annapolis County. The family of Marilyn Marie (Clayton) Fairn would like to announce her passing after a brief but courageous with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Owen and Jessie (Harlow) Clayton. Marilyn is survived by children, Larry (Glenda) Fairn; Susan (Ken) Moore; Scott (Chantel) Fairn and Darlene (Roger) Atwell; grandchildren, Andrew (Tammy) Fairn; Devin (Katrina) Fairn; Jamie (Trevor) Wimberly; Sarah Moore; Matthew (Amanda) Atwell; Alicia and Kaitlyn Fairn; and the light of her life her newest additions great-grandchildren, Jaxon Benjamin Fairn and Zachery Kenneth Atwell; only sister, Geraldine Wambolt; brother-in-law, Tom (Diane) Fairn; several nieces and nephews. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin Edward Fairn and infant son, Craig. Marilyn loved to knit, the last outfit she knit and completed was on April 1, 2013. Since the sudden passing of her husband Ben, Marilyn always looked forward to spending time with her family. The local community always could call for some sort of knitting and if she did not have anything she would knit whatever they wanted. Marilyn's door was open to all and this included being a care taker for Martin LeBlanc and Gordon Ritchie. Marilyn will be sadly missed by her family and her very best friend "Buttons" her dog that was with her to the end. The family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank-you" to all who helped make her transition easier; also a big "Thank- you" to the V.O.N team and Palliative care-team. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, April 9, in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal, with Rev, Ken Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Cemetery, Moschelle. Family flowers only. In lieu of visitation, the family will gather for a reception in Moschelle Community Hall following the burial.
