Longmire, Leon Borden - 75 of Hillsburn, Annapolis Co., passed away March 14, 2013, in the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal. Born in Parkers Cove, he was a son of the late Borden and Pauline (Robinson) Longmire. Leon built and owned his own fishing boat "Amber Dawn"; built and operated his own fish plant Scallops Unlimited. He enjoyed playing cards at the plant with his a friends. Most of all his pride and joy was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Ardena (Porter); son, Richard, Granville Ferry; daughters, Wanda (Curley) Rowlings, Granville Centre; Sue-Ellen (Greg) Marshall, Hillsburn; Amber (Stephen) Kaye, Hillsburn; grandchildren; Tye (Melissa), Bronson, Keeghan, Corbin, Adrian, Nicholas, Joshua, Natasha (Wade), Shaw, Jonathan and Shannon; great grandchildren, Quinton, Logan and Chavelah; brothers, David (Patsy), Hillsburn; Keith (Phyllis), Edmonton; sisters, Joan (Layton) Hamilton, Hillsburn; Judy Vidito (Roger), Parker Mountain Road. He was predeceased by grandson, Matthew Marshall; brother, Clyde. Visitation will be held Sunday 7-9 pm, in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 18, at 2:00pm in Hillsburn Baptist Church, Hillsburn, with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsburn Cemetery. Donations in memory may be sent to Hillsburn Baptist Church or Annapolis Community Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit.
