Melanson, Harley George - 70, of Plympton Station passed at home, February 15, 2013. Born in Plympton, he was the son of the late Eben and Rita (Amero) Melanson. In his younger years, Harley worked at the Digby Pines and on the Digby wharf. Harley enjoyed trout fishing and hunting. He will be sadly missed by the family he leaves behind, brothers, Eugene and Howard, Plympton Station; sisters, Ethel (Mrs. Erven LeBlanc), Saint Bernards; Joan (Mrs. John Amero), Doucetteville; Judy (Mrs. Carl Gird), Meteghan; Marilyn (Mrs. Alan Stark), and Carolyn (Mrs. Malcolm Stark) both of Plympton Station, six nieces and six nephews. Other then his parents, Harley was predeceased by his daughter. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. No visitation by family request. A graveside service will be held 11:00am Saturday, February 23, 2013 from the Gosson Cemetery, Plympton Station. Donations in Harley's memory may be made to Howard or Diabetic Association.
