Sarty, Raymond Eugene, 70, of Bridgetown, passed away February 5, 2013, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Parkers Cove, he was a son of the late Clifford and Myrtle (Guest) Sarty. Raymond was a fisherman for National Sea Products out of Riverport for many years and he also worked on the scallop draggers out of Digby. He was a hard worker all his life. He is survived by his wife the former Maisie Haynes; daughter, Amanda Sarty of Bridgetown; son, Raymond Scott of Bridgetown; brothers, Lewis (Neva) Sarty of Parkers Cove, Reginald (Gloria) Sarty of Parkers Cove, Gerald Sarty of Annapolis Royal; sisters, Alberta (William) Foster of Hampton, Lillian Dexter of Bridgetown, Eileen Sarty of Nictaux; five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Wayne. Private family visitation will be held tonight from 7-9 p.m. at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, in Riverside Cemetery, Bridgetown with Rev. David Cumby officiating.
