Cropley, Ida Pauline - 98, Bridgetown, formerly of Hampton. A wonderful Mom, Gram, Aunt and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 16, 2013, in Mountain Lea Lodge, at the age of 98 with her loving family by her side. Mom was a mom not only to her very own but also to her many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. To Mom, Hampton was "God's Green Acres", she loved her family home and community. The new recipes that she loved to experiment with, where always tried out by the neighbors, and everyone knew Ida made the best egg tarts in Hampton. The church, community hall, lighthouse and cemetery all were her great interest. She always enjoyed the folks at the cabins in the summertime and enjoyed smelling the smoke from the many bonfires on the beach. Ida was a member of the Hampton Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She also was a member of the Missionary Society and the Sewing Circle. Ida was employed for fifteen years at the ARC in Bridgetown as a cook. In her younger years, she would walk over the Mountain in snow storms to get to work at the Grave Apple Plant in Bridgetown. Mom dearly loved her family and her faith. Ida is survived by her daughters, Barbara Wiles, Moschelle; Dotty (Danny) Taylor, Wilmot; grandchildren, Roger (Angie) Wiles, Alberta; Raelene (Ashley) Robinson, Parkers Cove; Rhonda (Bradley) Hebb, Moschelle; Amy (Terry) Evans, Wilmot; Scott (Beth) Bent, Bridgetown; Kerri (Stephen) Fullerton, Weston; great grandchildren, Cody, Colin, Samantha, Chasity, Noah, Colby, Colton Allyson and Brody. She was predeceased by husband Frank Cropley; son-in-law, William Wiles; brothers, Reggie Chute, Mark Chute; sisters, Addie Chute, Maude Hall, Achsah Bent, Annie Thorne. Visitation will be held 2-4pm and 7-9pm Saturday from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. A funeral service will be held 2pm Sunday, January 20, 2013 from Hampton Baptist Church with Louise Aikman officiating. Burial will follow in Hampton Cemetery. Donations in Ida's memory can be made to the Hampton Baptist Church or The Busy Bees at Mountain Lea Lodge. The Family wishes to thank all staff at Mountain Lea Lodge and Dr. Grant Goodine for their compassionate care; all the visitors who took the time to make her stay at Mountain Lea so enjoyable and she was truly glad to see you all.
