Rice, Barbara June - 68, Mount Uniacke, passed away December 20, 2012, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born June 11, 1944, in Granville Ferry, Annapolis Co., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Hilda (Acker) Bohaker. She worked at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax for 35 years. Barbara is survived by her son, Paul Rice, Mount Uniacke; daughters, Susan (Mike) Rasmussen-Sweet, Kentville; Tracy (John) LeBlanc, Middle Sackville; grandchildren, Adam Rasmussen, Dartmouth; Tiffany Rice, Sackville; David Sweet, Kentville; brothers, Leslie (Lillian), Parkers Cove; Warren (Geneva), Granville Beach; Allan (Joyce), Halifax; sister, Mary (Charlie) Sage, Spryfield; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert James Rice. Funeral service will be held 11:00am, Saturday December 22, 2012, with visitation prior to service time, both held from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal with Rev. Elizabeth Waugh officiating. Burial will follow in Stoney Beach Cemetery. Donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Diabetic Association.
