Hudson, Frederick S. "Ted" - 90, Port Wade, Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully November 2, 2012, in Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal. Born in Victoria Beach, he was the son of the late Melbourne and Nellie (Halliday) Hudson. Ted served with the 48th Highlander Regiment of Canada during the Second World War; he served in Canada, Belgium, Holland, Germany, France, North Africa, Italy, England and Scotland. Upon returning to Canada, he was employed with National Defense in Aldershot and CFB Greenwood for 30 years. He is survived by sons, Randel (Ann) Hudson, Sandy Cove; Matthew Hudson, Cornwallis; Nathan Hudson, Alberta and Zachary Hudson, Port Wade; granddaughter, Taylor May, Sandy Cove; grandson, Dylan; sisters, Norma, Westville and Myrtle, Ontario; brothers, Melbourne Jr., Victoria Beach; Milton, Port Wade and Maxwell, Ontario; first wife, Bessie (Westhaver) Hudson, Port Wade; second wife, Debbie (McWhinnie) Hudson, Port Wade. He was predeceased by sisters, Rose and Nellie; brothers, Arthur, Kenneth, Edward, Wallace and Gordon in infancy. Visitation will be held 7 - 9 p.m. Sunday, November 4, funeral service with a legion service held 2 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012, all in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal, with Rev. Elizabeth Waugh officiating. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be sent to I.W.K Health Centre Foundation, Halifax. Burial will follow in Garden of Peace Cemetery, Victoria Beach.
