Peck, Ernest Albert, 93, of Moschelle, Anna. Co. passed away July 24, 2012 in the DVA Unit at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Robert and Jenny (Wynott) Peck. Ernest enlisted in the Canadian Army in World War II, as a dispatch rider and bandsman. During the war he served in North Africa, Italy, France, Holland and Sicily. In 1947 he enlisted in the RCAF as a Supply Tech in CFB Greenwood. His hobby was model trains. He is survived by his wife Edith Pearle Ponder; son, Ronald (Eunice) of Chateaugay, P.Q., step-daughters, Jackie (David) Sabean of Moschelle, Brenda (Joseph) Smardon of P.E.I., Christine (Tim) Wagar of Swan River, Manitoba; two grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; two great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren; brother, Shirley (Huguette) of Kingston. He was predeceased by wives Doris MacPherson and Evelyn Lynds; sister: Evelyn; brothers: Newton, Garnett, Arthur, Murray, James and Donald. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. There will be no visitation or service by family request. Donations in Ernest's memory may be sent to the Annapolis Community Health Center or to the Royal Canadian Legion.
