John Caleb Marshall Obituary

MARSHALL, John Caleb “Jack”, 93 of Round Hill passed away peacefully in Soldier’s Memorial Hospital on December 28th, 2024, surrounded with love. Born in Bridgetown on March 30th,1931, he was the last surviving child of the late James Herbert and Ethel (Wheeler) Marshall. Jack spent 24 years working as a foreman for Port Royal Dairy Farmers, later moving to a position with the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission until his retirement. He could often be found building and crafting a variety of pieces from step stools to whirligigs with his passion for woodworking, sharing stories with friends and family about his life and adventures, or working on his latest puzzle. He always made sure to have a laugh with those around him, offering a gentleness and caring that will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his son, Kevin (Eliz) Marshall, Windsor ON; grandchildren, Jacquelyn (Dan), Round Hill; Pilar (Devin), Middleton; Dayten, Rocky Mountain House AB; great-grandchildren, always cherishing the moments he got to spend with them, Constantine, Zeveren, Eva, Deirdre, Amelia, Quinn, and Alexis; step-children Ede (Ted) and Robert (Norma); companion and Kevin’s mother Shirley, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by all siblings George, Abbie, Reannie, Annie; second wife Dorothy (Fitz Randolph) Marshall; partner Donna Hall; and 2 children in infancy. Thank you to the staff in the medical units at Valley Regional and Soldier’s Memorial for their compassionate care and treatment during his brief stay. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held on Thursday February 13th, 2025 1:00pm at Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Reverend Tammy Hodge Orovec officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery. Donations in Jack’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
