Obituary Oickle, Elmerna Mary, 91 of Bear River passed away July 2, 2012 in the Annapolis Community Health Center, Annapolis Royal. Born in Upper Clements September 12, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Aceil Fletcher and Harriet Belinda (Graves) Sproule. She was a member of the Digby United Baptist Church. Although throughout her life she lived in many places in Nova Scotia, she resided at her home in Upper Clements for many years. Then 1991 to 2004 she moved to Doaktown, N.B. to live with her son and wife Elmer and Ann Oickle; where she enjoyed her in home apartment. In 2004 she returned to N.S. residing in private homes. This year she has resided in Bear River with daughter Dorothy (Leslie) Robichaud. She is survived by sons Arnold (Patricia) of Mississauga, ON; Elmer (Ann) of Doaktown, NB; daughter Dorothy (Leslie) Robichaud of Bear River; sister Beulah Chisholm of Upper Clements; grandchildren Darlene Bennett of Middleton, Sharlene (James) Loveys of Halifax; Tony (Lucy) MacDonald of Granville, Vanessa (Lonnie) Clark of NB, Karen (Cameron) Smith of NB, Timothy Oickle of Alberta, Wayne Oickle of Ont., Gordon Oickle of Ontario; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. There are also many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Elmerna was predeceased by her husband Ralph, brothers: Franklyn, Waldo, Donald, Kenneth and Olyn; sisters: Edith Read and Bertha Dukeshire; great grandchild Elizabeth Bennett. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 10-12 am in the Kaulbach family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Digby United Baptist Church with Rev. Jack and Audrey Carter officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annapolis Royal followed by a reception at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. Donations in memory may be sent to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Canadian Cancer Society. She was loved and cherished by all; we will miss her dearly, as she now resides in Heaven. The family would like to thank of the staff at the Annapolis Community Health Center , Dr. Barkwell and Dr. Cramm for the loving care they provided Elmerna.
