Wanitta Nancy (Robinson) Gregory

November 2, 1949 – November 26, 2024

75, of Young’s Cove passed away November 26, 2024 at Tideview Terrace Nursing Home, Digby. Born in Young’s Cove, November 2, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Lela (Hudgins) Robinson.

Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Wanitta first studied to be a hairdresser and later returned to school to become an Educational Assistant.  She also cared for many foster children in their home. She served faithfully at Lakebrook and Parker’s Cove Baptist Churches, as a Sunday school teacher, AWANA leader, as well as on the Fellowship Committee and the Women’s Missionary Society. Wanitta had a true heart for serving children and sharing the Gospel with them. She spent countless hours cooking for, visiting, sending cards to, and praying for folks in the community who were sick and hurting.

Visits with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren brought a smile to her face and joy to her heart. Lots of hugs and playing with them right until the last visits. She was not content until she had Henry back by her side daily at Tideview Terrace; where she was loved and cared for like family.

Wanitta is survived by her husband, Henry; children, Peter (Pam), Lequille, Gina Potter, Parker’s Cove, Justin Gregory, Cape Breton; grandchildren, Vashti (Collin), Kyla (Jakob), Brett (Olivia) Logan and Hannah; great grandchildren, Ainslie, Nessa, Seamus, and Brock; sisters, Florence Vidiksis (J.D. Manion), Barbara Rafuse, Patsy Thibbidao; several nieces, nephews, cousins and foster children. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Gerald ‘Jackie’ Robinson (Gail); sister, Mary Hudson; son in-law, Grant Potter.

A funeral service will be held 11am Friday November 29, 2024 at Parker’s Cove Baptist Church with Pastor Collin McMahon officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Parker’s Cove. Family flowers only. Donations in Wanitta’s memory may be made to the Parker’s Cove Baptist Church. Online condolence may be made at www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
