Obituary of Sherman Walter Harnish
Sherman Walter Harnish at the age of 72 passed peacefully after his last visit with a family member on Oct 23rd while he was at the Kentville Regional Hospital. He was born in Annapolis on July 19, 1952, to Cecil and Elsie Harnish. He met his wife Jeannette Windsor 3 years before getting married on Oct 24th, 1970, and was together for 54 years.
Sherman loved fishing, hunting and weekends out to an old log cabin with his dad. He also enjoyed his time drinking coffee and story telling with his sister. He also loved the care his wife provided which included many full course meals. Dad was a forgiven loving man and was loved by many because of his kindness to everyone. We will always remember his smiles. Sherman started his career young at a family business and took a job installing buried telephone lines all over Nova Scotia. Then he got more stable employment close to home with the Nova Scotia Light and Power company which was located locally in the community of Annapolis Royal not far form where he raised his family in Lequille.
Sherman is survived by his wife Jeannette, his daughter Angela; her daughter Sarah, his son Kyle; his daughters Calista, Piper and son Bryer, his brother Cecil, his sisters Ellen, Shirley, Diane and, Carol, and many nieces and nephews. Sherman preceded his father and mother Cecil and Elsie Harnish, his brother Ricky and son George. Sherman will always have those he interacted with in his memories and loved each of them deeply for those exact memories he made.
As per wishes there will be no ceremony but if you want to stop by to say good by you can do so on Dec 2nd at 1pm at the homestead. In consideration to our guest that reside on the property we ask guest to limit the time there to 2pm.
