Obituary of Lloyd Allan Condon
Lloyd Allan Condon – 73, of Granville Centre, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, with his brother Jim by his side in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Annapolis Royal, he was a son of the late Curtis and Alice (Eaton) Condon.
Lloyd was an active member in the United Baptist Church for over 30 + years; he took over as bell ringer from his father, who took over from his grandfather Gordon Eaton; held positions as treasurer, usher and sexton. Lloyds schooling began in Belleisle; received his high school diploma from Annapolis Royal Reginal Academy; attended U.N.B for a term and then attended Agricultural College, Truro, where he studied Animal Science for two years. He worked at Farmer’s Dairy, Annapolis Royal; spent 40 years + working as an Esso Agent, serving the Annapolis and Digby areas; worked at Gilliatt’s orchard as a foreman pruning and harvesting for several years, always enjoying the work. Although Lloyd was a quiet man he enjoyed meeting and talking to people. In his quiet times he enjoyed reading and rabbit hunting. Lloyd is the 7th generation to live in the family homestead.
He is survived by his brother James “Jim”; son, John Rennick; uncle, Charles Eaton and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Curtis and Alice. Following Lloyd’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Everyone is welcome to attend a committal service that will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 16, 2024, in Wadeville Cemetery, Granville Centre. Followed by a Celebration of Life held in the Granville Centre Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Baptist Church, Granville Centre.
