Conrad David Graham

May 27, 1947 – October 1, 2024

With great sadness in our hearts, we announce our fathers passing. Loved by many family and friends; he has gone above, and will continue to watch over us all.

Born in Digby, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Reta (Walker) Graham. He is survived by daughters, Karen Lee, Tammy Denise, Georgia Anne (George), Carolyn Wainwright (Care); son, Conrad Nathan (Little Con); brothers, Eugene (Butchie), William (Billy); sisters, Ruth, Rosanne, Sandra, Shirley, Carol, and Gloria; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister, Muriel; brother, Lawrence (Buddy), Clarence (Snookie), Alden; son, David Conrad.

Conrad Sr. grew up in Lake Midway on Digby Neck, and there he built his first home. Later moved to Waterford, and eventually retired at his camp overlooking the beautiful St. Mary’s Bay.

At a young age he decided school was not for him, and set out to become a lobster fisherman. He also hand lined, long lined, and weir fished.

Gardening, farming, hunting and working in the woods were also things he did in the off times. All of this knowledge he was taught by the older Digby Necker’s, and has passed it along throughout his life.

A few common sense and wisdom lessons from Conrad Sr.,

  • You will make a lot of friends in life, but you will find out that only a few a true
  • Bullying is not acceptable, always stand up for others
  • Work hard, follow your dreams, be realistic
  • Admit your wrongs; learn from them, and never lie
  • Stay calm, and never panic
  • Look out for those shoes with brakes on them
  • Sprinkle some salt in the garden

No visitation or funeral service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Red Cross.
