Obituary of Carroll Oscar Mitchell

Carroll Oscar Mitchell - 75, Clarence, Annapolis County, died quietly in his home on June 12, 2024, surrounded by his wife and friends.  Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Enoch and Marguerite (Healy) Mitchell.  

Carroll was sick with declining health for the past year, which caused him to be bedridden, and he faced it with courage and acceptance.  Nothing changed his sense of humour or his humble and kind nature.

His working career was as a heavy electrician at the Dockyard in Halifax for 38 years, until his retirement in 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha (Crockett) of 22 years.  Also his brother, Lesley, St. Croix Cove; nephews Dale (Shanda), St. Croix Cove; William “Alex”, New Minas; Brandyn, Alberta and Kendall, Port Lorne; nieces Darla and Bonnita (Mike), both of Halifax.

He was predeceased by his brother Gordon and sister-in-law Judy.

Carroll had a great love for all animals and he and Marsha provided a home for so many over the years.  He also enjoyed feeding the birds, which he faithfully did every day until his illness

He will be deeply missed.
