Joshua Stephen Orde

August 19, 1985 – June 12, 2024

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son, Joshua Stephen Orde to a short difficult battle with cancer on June 12, 2024 with his loving girlfriend and best friend, Samantha Gillis by his side.

Josh graduated from Kingstec NSCC in 2006 Truck and Transport/Heavy Duty Equipment Repair Diploma (2 Years). He then went on to work for Dexter’s Construction Company Limited, Rocky Lake, Halifax (April 2006 – 2012) where he worked for six years as an apprentice. In June 2011, he obtained Truck and Transport Journeyman license (Red Seal Mechanic). May 2012 – 2016 he worked for V.J. Rice Concrete Ltd. Bridgetown, where he trained other apprentices. 2016 – 2018, for Nautical Seafood’s Parker Mountain Road. In 2018, Josh became the founder and owner of Ordes Truck and Trailer Repair with clientele of local businesses including Annapolis Royal Fire Department, Lawrie Group, Delaps Cove Fish Products, Nautical Seafood’s, Municipality of the County of Annapolis, Fraser Pro Home Centre and other small business in the area.

Josh loved Life, all things nature, Auntie Rae’s blueberry cake, Grammie Leone’s Cinnamon buns, living in the area, spending time with his many buddies and family, and most of all his girlfriend and best friend, Sam Gillis and his driving companion Koda, hanging out the window. The highlight of the week would be going to the Snap On truck to purchase new tools on Tuesdays.
