This is my condolence to Alan's partner/wife and family. I knew Alan from way back to around 1986/87 when I meant him as I was working for J & B Farm & industrial Equipment Limited of Granville Ferry . Alan was then part of the Gordon Flewelling team ( please parden my incorrect spelling ) whom did the annual audit of J & B Farm accounting books. ( I was J & B Farm book keeper ). IT did not take long to touch base and become friends with Alan as we both had some things in common. Like we both had our Private Pilot License and thus did a fair amount of flying, and we both liked the outdoors and travelling. Some time or even years after J & B Farm was gone I still would every so often touch base with Alan when he was on his own with his own office over in Lequil . Alan was such a wonderful great guy and I will always remember him. So sorry for your terrible terrible loss.

Alan was truely a great guy. A gentle soul with a great wit and dry sense of humor. He was a true friend of my brother Jim and was there for me when he passed away as I am sure he was there for everyone in a time of need. He will be missed by all. My condolances to his family.

Many years ago, a group of young men decided to form a lacrosse team at an outdoor rink where the Independent Store now sits. I decided to play it safe and be a goalie. Wasn't counting on Alan Trimper becoming one of the Provinces' elite players with a whip shot clocked well over 100 miles an hour- causing me to retire from goaltending. Terrific athelete, teammate, trusted accountant, and friend. RIP Condolences to family and friends.

Condolences to everyone who knew him and loved him.
My one specific memory of Uncle Alan is when he shared his love of flight. I had come down from Halifax to visit him and Aunt Wendy Ann during university and he took me up in his plane. It was such a wonderful experience and I remember it vividly 30 years later.
Uncle Alan, we love and we will miss you.

Uncle Alan was a great uncle if not my favorite. I spent a lot of time with him when he and Wendy visited us across Canada where my father was posted by the RCAF. As such he, my Dad and me would do a lot hunting and fishing. He and Wendy also took me, my sister Leah and cousin Shane on a month long trip to the New England states in the 1970s - it was an awesome trip. I last saw him and Aileen in St. John’s a few years back and had a great lunch and catch-up. I wish his immediate and wider family the best.

To all of Alan's family, we send our deepest condolences. We, ourselves, are still reeling in shock over his passing. We have known Alan for many years. He has been our Accountant, and friend, since 1996. We could always be sure when we stopped in with our bookwork that we would stay and have a chat. In the early years we would go into his office and sit down and talk, not only about the bookwork, but about everything. The conversations generally included something to do with aviation as well, since both my husband and son are involved in that line of work and because Alan flew for quite a few years he knew he could turn to them for help in that realm, as we did him for accounting help. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met and the last conversation that both my husband and I had with him in April will be treasured, as we did not know it would be our last one. Life is a gift and to be cherished and when these things happen it really underscores how true it is everyday. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Alan was the best boss and the most patient teacher - he taught me so much about accounting and taxes. As much as we disliked working Easter weekend (tax season), they were also the most fun as Alan always fed us well and played the oldies (and sang along)! He was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathies to Marilyn, Greg and family. As next door neighbours to Alan’s family in the 1950’s and 1960’s there are so many memories! Alan was a wonderful friend to my younger brother David and gave David the nickname of “Spud” as he was a couple years older and a “little bit” bigger than Dave. I know that David thought the world of Alan. Thank you Alan for being such a great friend to my little brother.

To Alan’s family, we extend our deepest condolences to each one who are missing this very special man. Alan was an incredible person of his word and I always admired him for his calculated chats when we would meet to discuss accounting needs. He sure knew that living meant to take risk and he did that right to the end. Treasure all the beautiful memories you have and know how many care and send their love to you all at this most difficult time, Kenneth, Susan and family

I am so very sorry to hear of Alan's passing. He was our accountant, friend and lately a fellow dart player. No matter what Alan did he did it to his best. He got a 180 in darts, the best there is to get. I was looking forward to giving him his 180 pin at our Banquet, not knowing the struggle he was going through. I knew I could call on Alan any time to ask questions about our books and he always had a answer for me. We will miss him very much. Condolences to his family at this terrible time. RIP Alan.

Dear Alan, you were honestly the best boss anyone could ask for. You taught me everything I know about the accounting world. Not just the work
But the professionalism, passion, and genuine caring you had for your clients. You are now free to travel… you may run into mom and dad up there.. I’m sure dad will have an accounting or two for you. Rest in peace Alan❤️
