Kim and Kevin, We are all sorry to learn of Deanie's passing. He and your mother were so much a part of this community and will be fondly remembered .At school, at Home & School, at the golf course or at the curling rink or at M&R Lane , they were a
quiet and helpful presence in our lives. We will never forget how Dean came running from the garage with a fire extinguisher , ready to help when our house was hit by a propane tanker and then took Perry and Scott home until we got settled. Take comfort in knowing that so many people have similar cherished memories. Thinking of you and yours, Wendell, June & Neil

Thinking back many decades ago and many good memories from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Dean and Margie were as much a part of our lives as any family member. Between the golf course, the curling rink, and the odd trip into the woods, these two were year round role models for me and my brothers. I will always be an appreciative of their time with so many people - they made a difference. Kim and Kevin, sending you and your families my condolences.

Uncle Dean was a part of our family that is, and will be missed tremendously. We spent a lot of time together, mostly at the lake. When Margie was with us, the six of us (Kim, Shane, Dean, Margie, Rick & I) would spend many hours at the cabin, cooking together, story telling, playing cards and most of all, fishing. The amount of time we drove over questionable back roads, bush wacked through brush to get to a perfect fishing spot will always be etched in our hearts. I learned a lot about baseball, tennis, hockey and golf, watching sports at the cabin with Dean, asking many questions, and being patiently answered. Losing my father too early, Dean stepped in and introduced me to many of my Dad's favourite hunting and fishing areas, and he would tell me his childhood stories involving my Dad. I will forever be grateful for this. Dean unhooked fishing flies from my clothing and nearby trees, grinning as he removed it permanently from my line. I treasured the time Dean and Rick would go off, just the two of them, scouting out fishing spots together. Pan fried trout will never taste as good. It will be a long while before we get used to life without Dean. Forever in our hearts, Dean has gone on to his Family. Oh-dee-ope, Uncle Dean, may you rest in peace.

Dear Kim/Kevin and Families:
It is with a very heavy heart that I find I need to write this note. As mentioned in the obituary Dean worked for my Grandfather and then my Dad at Rawding's Garage. Dean was a very dedicated employee of the business and very much respected.. He certainly was a permanent fixture of the Garage during the time of his employment with us. There were a great many laughs and I suspect a lot of stories told both at work and outside!
It was an absolute pleasure to have known both your Dad and Mom.
Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your Dad and my Friend!
Sincerely,
Linda (Rawding) Isles

Kim, (Shane), Kevin, (Tammy) and families. I first meet your dad, when he was working at Rawding's Garage. I think I was one you their main customers on a Monday Morning. It was there that we became friends back in 1960's. It was then we realized we were cousins. That friend ship lasted right up till Dean's passing, and it still lives on. I was saddened to hear of his passing. Kim and Kevin , take one day at a time Keep all you good memories, which I think there are many of them.

Kim and Kevin and family we are going to miss Dean, he was such a great part of our lives. By request by Dean, Harold tied that special fly for him just last month, the one he caught that big trout on a couple of weeks ago. Harold will miss his regular visits with Dean and sharing fish stories. I am so thankful for being Dean's golfing partner on mixed nights and having the best golf partner I could ever ask for. Playing cards with Dean at Pretty Mary Lake will always be one of our favorite memories along with many many more.
The best Brother in law and friend anyone could ask for.
RIP Dean
