To: Al's Family-
Dear Friends-
We are so sorry that Al has passed away. Having met Al only a few times we did not have the pleasure of knowing him that well but, from those times, he gave us the impression of being a kind, caring, gentleman. From reading his tribute he had a full life and was much loved by all those that knew him. We know you will miss him but will cherish your many happy memories.
Thinking of you with loving thoughts and deepest, sincere, sympathy.
Peter & Karen (Rowlands)

i was one of his students in his last class before he retired. he was a great teacher with some good humor. we had a grad party at his home where he showed off is bike, and he pulled out those banned lawn darts for some fun. i went to visit him last year when i was home to see family, and he still had that humor, but apologized for not remembering who i was. he said he like being at the hospital because women would come in an take his cloths off lol. he liked to say dicky bird a lot too, and talk a bit about his time on the dew line, and working with Marconi. he will be missed, and without Al i wouldn't be where i am today. condolences to his family

My condolences to Allison’s family and friends.
I was a student at Vocational school, studying across the hall from the Electronics class in the 80’s when Allison and I became friends after we realized that we had the same first name. What a joy it was to know him. One of my favourite of his shenanigans, and there were many, was when he wired one of the hallway lockers with a speaker to make people think there was someone locked inside. I didn’t fall for it but others did. I hope you find joy in knowing that I still smile when I think about him.

My husband, Ted and I got to know Al through the Bridgetown Computer Access Cap Site (BCACS) many years ago now. He was always so enthusiastic about everything and was just a fun, kind man. He gave me so much encouragement in my amateur instructing computer basics to seniors. Our deepest condolences to Al's family and friends. Lena & Ted

Our sincere condolences to Kath, David and family on your loss. Many years ago, Al helped me create a tool that enabled a student in a wheelchair to use a wood lathe. Al and his students created the control system. It was a real pleasure to have known him. He will be missed. Such a caring and compassionate man.

To the Hall family
I knew Allison for a long time and his family. Some years back I enrolled in a business night course at Acadia University and travelled with Allison and several other friends every week. I was paired with Allison as we worked on various aspects of the course. Allison was sharp with mathematics, I was useless. I was pretty good at the personnel sections of the course, but I know I would not have passed without Allison’ strength in the mathematical portion. Have never forgot that..great fun travelling with him and his buddies at that time.
Also Allison was very kind to my husband Laurie Montgomery when Laurie kept calling him for help with batteries. Just a really nice man. Allison will certainly be missed by family and friends.

It was an absolute gift to get to know Allison on the Veterans unit. My favourite memory was him going down the hall singing before his physio exercises. He is such a kind witty man. My thoughts are with his loved ones during this time.

I remember Allison when Chris would have us visit as teenagers. Always a fun house, lots of laughs. We went tobogganing down the Iglewood Road one night after a huge snow storm. Very scary but so much fun. Hot chocolate and laughs when we got back to the Hall house. One of my fondest childhood memories. My condolences to Chris and all the family.

Sending condolences to the entire family. Hands down, AL was the best teacher I ever had. In fact he was more like a friend than a teacher at times. Many fond memories of my time in his class.

Mischievous, funny, sarcastic, stubborn and independent, humble, and always, ALWAYS appreciative…he had a way of bringing a smile and a laugh, no matter what the situation. He showed concern for us, as we did for him.
Daily “fist bumps” will be missed.
