Mrs. Norton was a very spunky lady, always bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. From telling Caleb it was time for more babies because twins weren’t enough another set would be perfect, to always encouraging our girls and making sure they knew she enjoyed their singing, Mrs Norton always wanted to bring happiness to others.
Back in the fall I had the privilege to take her to Halifax, although we were heading in for radiation treatment, Mrs Norton was happy and looking for ways to tell others about Jesus! She just wanted him to use her life for his glory everyday. That day she was full of spunk, telling me she didn’t remember this route to the hospital, making sure my map was right to sitting me in the waiting room and telling me “stay with the stuff, Faith is coming with me, she’s got to see this mask they made me!” Off she went, telling staff “she’s coming with me let’s go!” That day she left tracts all over the waiting room.
The last couple of weeks getting to cook for Mr &Mrs Norton, spend time with them was a joy and pleasure. Mrs Norton told me God had answered all her prayers, she got to tell a lot more people about him, she got to spread the truth of the gospel, she got to be home with Mr Norton again, she was home for Christmas, she got to visit with all her boys.
Sharon was an encouragement right to the end even if I was one of her bossy nurses!! I am so thankful for the example she was and the joy and blessing I received from her. Getting to make baked beans for her to Sarah reading the Psalms and singing for her those afternoons were wonderful!
We will miss you greatly Mrs Norton but look forward to seeing you again soon, just as spunky in Heaven as you were here!
We are praying for you Mr. Elford, Tom, Joe, Will and families.
Thank Jon, Jess, Graciana and Wyatt for all you have done for Mrs Norton
Love, Chris, Robin, Faith and Sarah

Mrs. Sharon was truly a blessing to all of us. Being a mom of all boys, she had a soft spot for all of ours...whether it was to encourage them in their singing at church, to comment on how nicely they were dressed, or to simply match-make them with the girls:) She would consistently encourage all of the moms to "try one more time" for a girl! I will miss her laughter, her quick wit, and her prayer requests. Her faith never wavered; she was strong until the Lord took her home, setting a great example to the rest of us. Good-bye, Mrs. Norton, until we see you again in Heaven❤️

Sharon was a loving and caring sister who cared about others more than herself. Her faith never faltered. I will miss calling and talking to her and am so grateful I got to spend time with her in Nova Scotia, as she underwent her cancer treatments. We had a very special time together walking through Halifax. Love you Sharon and will miss you until we meet again.

Ms. Sharon (as she was known here at church) was a blessing and joy to be around. Spunky should have been her middle name. She was ever the matchmaker for all her "Boys in Blue" here at the church, and her opinion was always quite handy. :) It was a privilege to be her pastor, and a friend to she and Elford. We will dearly miss her, but we KNOW that one day when our Saviour returns she will be with him to meet us, what a great reunion that will be. Our sincere condolences to all the family, especially Mr. Norton and sons, and Jon and Jess, Wyatt and Graciana.
A special memory is in December the church went caroling to the Nortons, and although she was sick, they bundled up and came outside to sing with us. They had treats for the kids, and Ms. Norton wanted us to turn and face Mountain and Meadows so they could hear! Always thoughtful of others.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 (KJV) But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
Love,
Brandon, Leanne, Owen, Erik, Rylan, and Casen

Ms Sharon was such a joy to talk to. She always had happy and spunky feeling that she gave out to everyone she talked to. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her . Will be waiting patiently for our time to meet with our LORD and Savior and see her again. We love you too Mr Norton
