Many memories of an impromptu dinner, a drink or just a quick drop by whenever we happened to be over visiting our good friends and neighbours Ian and Sonya. Peggy was a fun, vibrant lady always with a twinkle in her eye and an interesting story to share. Our deepest sympathies to Ian, Sonya and the rest of Peggy’s family. -Karen & John

Oh my gosh..Peggy was wonderful and so talented. She and her husband Bernie were part of our dinner group of ten…most amazing memories…specifically the year 2000 when we all had a party to welcome that year in..had a number of other friends attend. …Bernie vacuumed…a first perhaps…my house, Peggy could not believe he did that…yeah so special. Peggy was such a lovely woman…so happy we had those amazing years together as most of the group are no longer with us. Very special time.

Peggy was a remarkable woman, fun, talented and full of personality. In my living room I have a coaster hooked by Peggy, and a whimsical figurine from her gift shop The Calico Cat. They keep the memories fresh. My thoughts are with you.

I have many happy memories of Peggy. If I had to choose a word to describe her it would be 'gracious'. Whatever came her way she dealt with it, whether it was listening to Burnie's expletives when she sent him back to the Save Easy for the fourth time in one day (sometimes in one hour!) or when one of her kids hid the remains of that day's dessert to stop her from being tempted to have 'just one more sliver" or during the hard and sad times. Peggy could absolutely step up when it was needed, and she always did. She was a wonderful mother-in-law and grandmother to my children, and we loved her. Ian, Alan, Susan, Bruce, and all of your kids, including my own, please accept my condolences on the loss of your Mom and Nanny. She will be missed. Jodi

Peggy lived downstairs from me at Tideways Co-op. The only sounds I ever heard from below were the sweet sounds from her piano. She was a member of our eight-person tea group which started as our Covid social bubble but is now called Johnson's Café, meeting twice daily. Notwithstanding that Peggy was very quiet, she was a much-loved contributor to our bubble, this week bringing a very nice Irish cheese to share. She will be very much missed from our group and its regular restaurant visits and suppers delivered by the Lion's Club and other community organizations.

Sincere condolences to Peggy’s family. Truly a great lady. I have not shopped in a craft store that could compare to The Calico Cat! She had such great taste in crafts& was a great crafter.

On one of my business trips to the Maritimes when we were visiting Burnie and Peggy they had their neighbours in for dinner.
After many hours of visiting around the table Peggy stood up at 2AM and announced nicely I think it is time for you to leave. The neighbours left immediately.
We laughed as Peggy handled the situation diplomatically.
This is only one of many wonderful times we spent with Peggy.
She was a wonderful kind loving lady.

Condolences to all of you children and other Family members; Your Mom, Peggy, was an absolutely lovely lady and so kind to all in every capacity. I remember her weaving well as she gave my daughter a sweet pink and green skirt and vest which she had made. My daughter and I both appreciated the gift.
Sincerely, Drenna Moore
